Polynesia is a shiny textural slub yarn made up in a basis thread of matt cotton and linen wrapped in a glossy thin yarn of viscose (56% Cotton – 22% Linen – 22% Viscose).
Polynesia creates an interesting textured fabric with a slight shine—one ply has a matte finish, the other a silky glow. Ideal for lightweight, warm weather tops or blouses, Polynesia is sure to dress up any occasion. Shawls will shimmer in delight in soft hues for the season.
Each ball weighs 50 grams and has 165 meters. This is a medium weight yarn and we recommend using size 4 – 7 (U.S.)/(3.5 – 4.5 mm) knitting needles. 5 balls of yarn are required to make a size 12 woman’s short sleeved jumper. To make a 4×4” tension square work 24 sts and 28 rows. Machine washable up to 30º using a short spin cycle. Do not tumble dry.
